Ranger tours in the airport park – experience biodiversity at the airport
While it might just seem like a green space next to the Circle at first glance, a closer inspection reveals it as being a valuable refugium for plants and animals – and a surprisingly lively place to learn. Ranger Viviane Magistra shows on a guided tour how the airport park – with its wetland habitats, meadows and dry stone walls – has become home to kestrels, legless lizards, wild bees and even badgers. Interactive stations teach visitors how to interpret gnaw marks, identify plants and understand ecological relationships. The tours are aimed at everyone – from school classes to companies. All those who join the tour will leave the park with a sharper eye for details barely visible and a new understanding of biodiversity in the middle of an urban space.
