CEO Lunch with Nils Planzer: Logistics with heart and mind

How does a family's third generation run a logistics company? Nils Planzer showed at the CEO Lunch that, first and foremost, entrepreneurship means culture, joy and pragmatism.

Around 90 leaders listened to a presentation full of clarity, precision and surprising insights at the Novu Campus at The Circle. Nils Planzer, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Planzer Transport AG, spoke about the values that have shaped his family business since 1936: Diligence, respect and authenticity. "We don’t think in terms of quarters, but in generations," he pointed out. He didn't mince words when talking about the challenges facing the industry – from the rising cost of mobility to the stowage factor to the role played by railways. Meanwhile, when it comes to innovations, he relies on sound judgement: "Innovation cannot be an end in itself." Many guests considered his thoughts on the corporate culture as the foundation of every success to be particularly inspiring. Attendees continued their discussions and deepened the dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere during the subsequent lunch at Restaurant Babel.
